s300g is cheaper, but does not support as much HP. What HP are you looking to support?

You wont be able to spool the 62, my brother had DDP 90's with no plate and 4k's , afc tuned, and full cuts and he couldnt lite it to save his a$$, not to shoot you down but i just dont want you to buy something you cant light, and if you do I would say do a s300 there cheaper than most and are a good turbo

Your brother should have been able to spool a 62mm with those mods, but a 57mm would have been better.

Hicks12v What do you want to do with the truck? I can get you a s300g with a 12cm housing instead of a 14cm. It will spool 50rpm faster or so, but will get hotter up top. an hx35/40 may also work for you, but for not much more you can get a better turbo, the s300.

sounds like there was something wrong with the truck or turbo, he should have been able to make about 450 if he was tuned right, was it a very low drive pressure turbine wheel like the 74 or even the 71mm?
