181 holder install question...

So while im waiting for the trans to get done im going to throw the 181 holders in. I read that some of the 160 pumps out there can have copper washers under the holders that they say you remove when installing anything other than the stock 131 holders. Is this true? If I pull my 131 holders and there are copper washers under them do I throw them out and install the 181's without them? Im going to leave my 131 DV's in and see how they work with the 181 holders. Thanks

Brandon, what places will cut your delivery valves down for you? Shortbedcrew had asked me a while back and for the life of me I couldnt remember what places will do it.

For the time being I recommended 131's in 181 seats and if he wanted more fuel then send out the 181 valves to get them cut.

Some pump shops will, I know for a fact Columbus Diesel does.

Ive read on CompD there is Bosch part #'s for .022 and .024s and they can be had sub $200, but the one guy who said he know's them never responded when ask what they were.

Yea, didnt notice much of an increase when I went to 181's from 131's, little more boost maybe 2psi.
