leaving it on between shifts can cause it to drop the rpms to low and kill the motor. will it kill the motor if you turn it on parked with the engine idling?
i was taught to turn it off between shifts while downshifting.

I usually give a little throttle while downshifting to match rpms better, brake turns off automatically.
But when up shifting there is usually no reason to have the brake on.

.I turned up the idle today and all the problems are fixed and I love the brake, it really helps. I haul a lot of weight and all the time. I do have one question though. I have a 10 gal air tank on the truck and I want to tie the compressor that runs the exhaust brake into the 10 gal tank but I am afraid that it will cause the compressor to run too long and burn it up. If I tied it in will it be ok? The compressor is a 285 Viair.
