I bought a 2wd 12 valve to build a race truck out of. But they both have strengths and down falls. For fueling, you can't beat the mechanical injection of a 12 valve. But you have to spend some money on head work to make it flow well. A 24 valve head flows pretty good right out of the box. I say p-pump a 24 valve!

if you p pump a 24v, you have more chances of dropping a valve seat when your pushing higher rpm

You can have that issue addressed with pressing in over sized seats, and peening them in. You can also find a head that has cast seats like a 12 valve. Also I don't feel it's rpm that makes them drop, it's high EGT's that do it.
