Is a I I 66 74 13 too big for me
I have a chance to buy a 66 74 14 industrial injection silver bullet and i was wondering if i used this with my current setup would the turbo be too big the only reason i would consider this turbo is because i can get it for cheap 1400 i do have plans for twins in the future but i dont want a laggy pos right now until i can afford the 2nd turbo and more fuel upgrades. By the way its for the 1st truck in my sig thanks for the help ahead of time

get it and i wll trade you for my newer hybrid with 3k miles on it..... i need more air and that would be too big for you..... the hybrid would be great for you seeming it has a 14cm housing and the 60mm comp wheel (6 blade) it also has a Banks big head wastegate on it thats adjustable..... im needing a 66mm bad and i need to get rid of the hybrid.... i bought it new from II and it costs 1250 new.....

Its a laggy SOB. Good turbo, but if your not running the fuel to light it, your gonna be unhappy with it

Im not very experienced with 12vs, but Id almost guess your gonna need atleast 100-120hp injectors. What size that is, Im not sure; maybe 5x.016 or something like that (that seems to be a fairly popular size injector)?? No that turbo isnt too small for twins. Thats actually a big turbo in twins. Lots of guys run a 62 or 64 secondary, so that 66 would be plenty big for nearly any power level your going to shoot for...

I disagree that it would be good in twins. It's too big for the high-pressure turbo and you're not going to get much out of it as the low-pressure unit either. In moderate (ie, 650-800HP not extremely high HP 1000+) twins, the ideal combo is a fast spooling primary (62mm is perfect) and a big secondary (74-80mm)... so a 66 is kind of only good as a really big single and it'll spool slow so it won't be great for the street. If you plan on going with twins later, you're gonna have to get rid of that 66mm and buy 2 new turbos. And at this point in time you don't even have enough fuel to light a 64mm turbo, let alone a 66mm. Also, it seems to me that a 13mm turbine housing is too small for this turbo. That would be a good size on a 62mm turbo, but on a 66, I think it's less than what's ideal. Someone will probably disagree with me.

A .91 exhaust housing is like a 16cm. The reason a 73 wheel is so laggy is to put it in a smaller exhaust housing like a 13cm, 14cm, .83, .85 is you have to cut it to fit. The .88 and .91 t4 nongated housing were designed for that 73 wheel specifically to aid in spool up. I have a E.D. 66/73/.91 t4 non gated and it drives on the street like a hx35 becuase of the exhaust housing yet it flows a ton of air up top. Im gonna agree and say a small housing like a 13cm is to tight it would cause very high drive pressure.

Keep the 100 in it will help control low end smoke but will be the same rack travel as a 0 after the arm slides up the plate. Also your looking for 60lbs valve springs. 110s are vp and cr springs.
