what turbo to twin with the stock turbo

on my conversion build, im thinking about putting twins on the truck, but want to do it on a budget, so whats a good turbo that can be used with the stock turbo that will supply enough air for about 500-600 hp?

thanks

A standard S400 will work well, and can be had brand new for around 650 bucks if you know where to look.

An S400 is a Schwitzer turbo, built by Borg Warner. They can vary a lot in size. For a primary charger you should look for something in the neighborhood of a 74/83/1.10 with a T-6 housing would be good. Here is a link to get you started. Bullseye Power Turbos

majestic turbo sells them with a 1.32A/R t6 housing for $585. Same spec on the Comp wheel, and turbine exducer.
index Dallas Turbo
Its under specials.

The the charger is very restrictive in the exhaust department. You will definitely want to address that with an external wastegate.

HT3B would be a good/cheap bottom charger as well and many have done that exact setup for quite a bit less than a kit ...

as for the s400 - check out Source Automotive's version of that setup - they have a lot of pics to help you out with the piping and such ... and the also supply individual parts to complete the build - VERY highly recommended .

Are you refering to the stock charger being restrictive or are you saying that the 1.32 A/R s400 would be restrictive? I thought the 1.32 s400 would flow quite well, even give up some spool up time in order to get better top end flow. I'm assuming your speaking about his stock turbo may be restrictuve as a secondary (I agree that it will). Please correct me if I'm wrong.
