will a 74/83/1.10 be too big for an automatic tranny. i am also thinking about using my stock turbo to twin my truck. and what kind of horsepower range would my truck b. my mods are in my signature

ok i have a few questions about this hybird turbo....

1) what is the difference between it and a normal hx35?

2) will the pipes from source automotive work with this turbo?

3) if so, what hot pipe, charged pipe, and intercooler pipe would i need to get?

4) where is the best place to get one?

well i think i got it all figured out. by the looks of it, it is the same charge pipe and intercooler pipe regardless of the turbo. If not, im guessing that will be something I will have to call source automotive about. As for the hot pipe, it should be the hotpipe for the hx35. correct me if I am wrong about any of this, but im thinking a hx35/40 hybrid over an s400 will be the set up I go with.

The hx35 hybrid over an s400 will be a good spooling set of twins that should support up to 650 hp.

It would be too large for a single if that's what you were meaning. But not for a primary charger in a set of twins.

Tough to say what you would be putting down for hp. What kind of DV? Full Cut, 0.22's, .024's ext? How much Pump work? Did you swing the barrels, has it been benched, how many cc's does it flow? How Big is Big Injectors? 5x14, 5x18?
With a stock turbo, I'd be surprised if you put down 425 to 450 even if you had a lot of fuel.

the hx35/40 seem to have shaft problems.

so what you're saying is that the hx35/40 might break or something? could you elaborate on this problem because upgrading to one of these is way cheaper than getting another complete turbo? Mabey you get what you pay for? Also I found Air Flow systems website and they dont show any turbos for sale, are those like a call only product?

thanks
