5x.014 Injector opinions

Well I have finally had some time to install my new injector's from Southern Extreame Diesel but ran out of time. It's Halloween and time for trick or treating with the little Guy. I did have time to fire her up and check for leaks and I will say I am impressed so far! After I adjusted the idle there was little to no haze. Stay tuned for more testing!

Glad to hear it. I'm going to get a set for my 24v when I have some more funds.

How do you like you complete set up? Are these upgrades from the 90hp's you have listed? Seems like a 5x0.014 should be more than that, closer to a 140hp. Your set up, is very similar to what I have in mind for my friend to do to his truck.

Well guy's finished up last night and took her for a blast and I will say that I am pleased with several things the first being that the truck no longer has a thick haze on warm up and the throttle is much crisper when blipped! I went for a ride and the boost comes up a lot faster with these sticks virtually eliminating any perceived lag that the 71mm turbine might give. Now the last real tests are to see just how hot they are and what they can do when I put the foot into it all the way! I am waiting until I get the pyro hooked back up before I execute a full on blast! Overall so far I Love my combo! Now I need to find out whether or not the Mack rack plugg will benefit me or not? I have a 160 pump but I have played with the rack to maximize things and I was told by someone that it wound not help unless I was going to run NO plate?? Anyone have any opinions on this??

Hmm I have a Guy that I talk to here and there on the Boards who told me that if I have a plate in there won't be any benifit to adding the rack plugg? He said that No plate would be the way to go if adding the plugg to a 160 pump that has had the afc modded out....IMHO if this will add power I will do it!

a 0 or 100 plate ff is the same as no plate, if you install it right. if you have a 0 plate then its not really worth having imo. a 100 plate will restrict rack travel down low to help with tuning

Yes I understand this I have had this thing apart a few times Lol! I am only quoting a pretty knowledgeable Guy and wanted to see if any one had any real number's with and without plates.......So your opinion is why bother with the plate if you are looking for Max rack??

I found more power with full rack travel and 20* of timing than with my 191's without changeing anything else.

With your #0 or #100 plate FF you will not contact the plate, you will hit your stock rackplug (19mm travel). With the new plug installed and a modified AFC arm your plate will become the new rack stop at 21mm of travel.
