what is a sac less nozzle?

vco aint got no sac

none to speak of

i personally think the bigger the sac the better

(only when referring to injectors)

lol

ps - weston has been searching for large sac nozzles for 8 months now

and may have finally found a source

Hmm i see. I read testimonials about guys swapping out rebuilt stock injectors with sac less nozzles, I guess, and they put down more power with less smoke and even picked up a few mpgs.

Yeah, I was told that by a vendor selling 5x14 nozzles that I'd have to get the pop set at 260bar. Is that number specific to the tip or what? I don't know how diff pressures will affect performance.

the numbers and math are fine and dandy.... but what do the lift and bar numbers do... and how do they corrolate into the grand scheme of the injection event

grinding lift into the pintle makes the injector flow a little better, but you have to be careful for a street application cuz too much can make em smokey

increasing the pop can clean some of that up

if 'your injector doctor' doesnt go over your application and goals with you (to determine what injector mods would be best) my suggestion would be to find someone else to build them for you. you shouldnt have to tell him how to build your injectors - once he knows what you are gonna do with the truck and what you want out of it power wise he should have his own idea of what to build

Hey, I called my local industrial shop. I don't think they are performance oriented so I have to give them the part number for the nozzle I want or bring it to them and they will just do the labor for $35/ea

is there part numbers for 145* 5x14 or 5x12? I obvoisly know the specs that I want in the nozzle, thanks to this thread. But, I don't know how to get the nozzles with the specs short of shelling out big bucks for performance-branded nozzles

New nozzles on core bodies. Everyone uses core injector bodies. Ive got some in a many local trucks, my dads, and their 24v injectors in my 02.
