the stock parts will handle a pretty stout engine. Its rated for 460lbft but it has been known to handle double that without an issue.

Your main concern is going to be a clutch to hold the power. depending on how much power you want to make (500hp+) you will likely need to upgrade to a larger diameter clutch to hold the power which also means an input shaft upgrade to match the clutch disc.

You guys arent goint to believe me when I tell ya...SOOOOOO a buddy of mine and I were driving around looking for snow piles to drive into, anyways, didnt find any, got out to pee in this parking lot, almost fell on my arse it was so slick. soooo when I got in the truck, Rowed the gears to 4th, spun around a few times in 4th then left the parking lot. drove a couple blocks to the next stop sign, looked both ways, took off in second (normal and easy) then when I put it in 3rd and let out the clutch, it just went BOOOOMMMM!! Didnt slam it or even spin the tires. Just decided it was its time lol

ah its cool Redid it all myself for $100 worth of oil, $30 of cleaning products, and $400 for a rebuild kit & upgraded mainshaft & input shaft & 3rd gear & main gear cluster... Plus $150 worth of stupidity (lost 2, $25 quarts of oil onto the ground and had to replace the same bearing 3 times and broke the input shaft bearing retainer pressing out the race, *expensive lessons to learn*) Anyways, If anybody needs some tranny parts, pm me because I can get it for ya CHEAP, did I mention CHEAP?
