Miles Per Tank Of Fuel

What is the most miles you've driven on a tank of fuel?
My 97 had a recent oil change, a fuel filter change, and a new P7100 return overflow valve installed. I drive like a old man 50-60mph in order to get the most miles out of my fuel tank.
My 12v burns clean because it has slow acceleration. My average miles per tank is 650+ with 3-4 gallons left.
My new record is 719 when I pumped in fuel all the way to the fuel cap. I could have gone further till it was bone dry. My truck is a long bed with 245 tires.

I go about 500 or so and fill it up. Never did like running my tanks low. My wife now is a different story and I'm surprised the pump in her Durango hasn't gone bad yet. Also, have you checked your speedometer for accuracy? Mine is a bit slow because my tires are about 9% taller than stock....

876 miles from Cheyenne, Wyoming to Minneapolis on one tank and still had 3 gallons left.
Strong tailwind plus it's all basically downhill.
About 27 mpg, never have got over 24 mpg before or since, mostly around 22 mpg.

One time best of 25 mpg driving back from Atlanta to Raleigh. Just about half a tank.
Lately the 98 has been hitting 22-23 mpg highway...

The ol 97 auto did me well on the last tank. I did almost all interstate or rural highway driving on the tank. Its got the 35 gallon oversize tank on it, and i did just over 800 miles with a couple gallons to spare. So about 24 mpg

I am at 542miles on a 1996 club cab dually with 4:10 gears & NV4500.
after the last 8th but not on empty yet. hope to hit 600 miles before I fill up.

Wonder how MPG will be afected after i do 22.5 wheels & tires(Yokohama 255/70R22.5 RY023's) 4 allum wheels & 2 steel wheels.

I have a K&N Intake/4" downpipe to dual 6" stacks/Custom Ground flate fuel plate/AFC housing all the way forward/ Anaroid screw with light tension/Boost Elbow/Earls Over flow valve. Dont know what I want to do next.....

What size tank do you have?

How in the world are you guys getting so much out of these?

Does the EGR on the Ca version affect MPG?

I think the 275/65/20's I have make my odometer way off, I think as high as 20%. They were as tall as my friends 35 toyos on 20x10's

If I use 20% I get around 21-22 mpg

at 10% I get around 20

Putting new injectors and an OFV for good measure on next weekend since they are probably worn out, excited to see what happens. I drive like an old man though

Staying under 60 MPH. Generally around 55. And of course that is no load.

Right now I am driving 100 miles a day and get almost 300 miles on 13 gallons on the interstate.
