Speedometer/Odometer?

I've been lurking around here since I bought my truck in August. I never had to post anything because I always found my answers. But I can't figure this one out. My speedometer and my odometer stopped working about 2 months ago. I was looking around on here and everyone was saying it was the speed sensor. So I called Dodge and got the sensor. Which I'm assuming is the wrong one. It's the one that screws in on the side of the case. I put it in and nothing. So I looked around some more, and tore the sensor off the top of the rear pumpkin. It was shattered inside. So I went back to Dodge, didn't complain about the first sensor they sold me, and ordered this one. I got it today and installed it. Still nothing. My question is, what's next? Are they both the wrong sensors? Or could something else be wrong?

Thanks in advance.

check the harness leading to the one on the rear differential. They like to corrode through and cause the same issue.

I checked everything out and it all looks good. So I did what I should've done in the first place. I have no power coming to that sensor. So now the search begins to find where I'm losing power.
