Question vacuum line behind the dash...have no clue where it goes

i installed a new brake booster but the push rod was too short so i had to modify the switch mount so my brakes lights didnt stay on permanently. while messing around under there i noticed a hanging vacuum line but cannot find where to connect it to. i took off the lower dash under the steering wheel and still cant find it. i am hoping this is the only reason i have a leak and really appreciate any help.

it goes in through the firewall next to the brake booster

here it is just kinda hangin out by the pedals...

Only vacuum line I know of that goes though the firewall passes though on the passenger side.
Maybe a '94 is different.
It goes to the vent control switch.
You have to remove the two climate switches from the front to get at it.

You could always cut it and see if your vents get stuck on def!

Not the best way but once you cut it 1/8" clear tubing slides over the line and doesn't leak IIRC

Yeah.... I wasn't sure, yet I think the only vacuum line that goes into the cab, goes right between the two a/c refrigerant lines.

When I saw yours, it's either rigged for vacuum, or a pressure gauge/switch of some type?

Good luck!

Not sure what they did in 94, but could it be possible that this is the line to a vacuum dump valve for the speed control. I know Ford along with others used vacuum switches on the brake pedal bracket that would dump the vacuum to the speed control servo in the event that the brake lamp switch failed.

Most-all speed control systems have a redundant type safety switch to disable the speed control system in case the other one fails. Some were vacuum type (mainly for older systems) others were brake pressure switches ( hydraulic or electric )

Just guessing BTW
