steering wheel play

there is a good amount of free play in my dad's truck. how do you tighten it or would it be the track bar that is worn out

1996 Dodge Ram 2500 HD, 4x4 Laramie Club Cab SLT, 5.9 Cummins Turbo, Fuel Slide, BD Performance Torqloc, Pacbrake Exhaust Brake, 60lb Springs, and 4" Exhaust system.

I was able to adjust the steering box and get a ton of play out of my truck. It is very easy to over-tighten it, so take your time. I drove around with the allen wrench and end wrench for a day or so and kept tweaking it.
If it is too tight it does not feel natural, and sticks and does not return to center after a slight correction.
