Steering boxes and steering shafts

im in need of a new steering box for my 97 2500 4x4 and im lookign to go aftermarket. so far i have hardly been able to find anyone who makes better than factory replacement boxes. does anyone out there have one installed in their trucks, and if so, would you buy the same one again???

has anyone gone with an aftermarket steering shaft as well??? my steering is annoyingly loose and im loooking to do this once and for all.

if i replace the box should i just service the steering shaft joints with new stock stuff or replace with aftermarket

These guys rebuild boxes and are highly recommended on every forum I have seen

http://http://www.redheadsteeringgears.com/

I would bet they could do something to maybe get you a little faster ratio, its worth a try!

thats odd psc used to sell the boxes with the shorter gear ratio for our trucks...why on earth would they get rid of it..but on the other hand maybe the ones for a 93 may fit, but i have no clue

Just call, so many people offer products that they don't have online. Alot of companies don't update their website but once a year
