Both are pretty dayum reliable...

The 94 will make more easy power than the 1st gen engine.

auto or manual?

Again, either way, they are pretty comparable for 1/2gen. Enough to barely handle the stock engine, you can count on some upgrades to handle added power

well. my buddy is looking at one or the other. we are just trying to figure out the best deal. 1st gen cheaper. but is a 2nd worth the extra. keep in mind we are not looking at junk. it will be a nice one or the other

depends on the price of them, but i would jump on the 2nd gen if at all possible. Though the 1st gen is not a 'bad' choice

Im not sure that the 2nd gen is worth any more than the 1st gen, honestly the 1st gen is probably worth more being in good shape they are hard to come by and are more desireable around here

Exactly, i wouldnt pay alot more just to get a 2nd gen. But the engine and creature comforts are definitely worth a few extra dollars to me.

VE pump vs. P7100, the choice is obvious if you want power. The 1st gen wins the cool factor though, they are getting so hard to find in good shape lately.

My oldest boy has a sweet CC 1st gen 4x4 standard that he'd trade in a heartbeat for an extended cab 4x4 standard 2nd gen. He just wants a 2nd gen for the comforts and the P-Pump. He doesn't have it up for sale, he's just mentioned it. I have an older post with pics of his truck. Our IT department made it to where I can't view img's or get to a lot of sites so I'll have to e-mail them to you. I'd go with the 2nd gen if the price is right. Just my .02
