Heat and gauges

Why is my heat never very hot?

Also, my main question, my autometer ultra lite boost gauge holds boost. It always has 1 psi showing. And if I hit 30 psi it drops to 10 psi when I let off. I have to tap it to make it drop to 5 psi. And then I have to tap it really hard to get to 1 psi. Shouldn't it act like any other gauge? I checked all connections

Sounds like you have a defective gauge, send it back.

If tapping on it makes the gauge move I don't see how it could be a wiring problem.
