Im about to put one in mine too I know that you have to run a power wire through the firewall to the battery with a circuit breaker in. And one has to be run to the back trailer plug. One has to be grounded. The other goes to the break light wire The color code should be with the controller. What brand of controller did you get?

Mine were coiled up over by the top of the parking brake linkage and labeled trailer.
My trucks are both tow package though, not sure if they all came with the wires.

If you do find them beware, the wire colors don't just connect same Dodge color to same color on most controllers. All the same colors are on both under the dash and the controller.
Makes hook up a bit confusing.

Here is an article that may help. The plug is supposed to be blue in color by the emergency brake linkage if it came factory installed.

Here.

Im at work right now so i cant repost my pics....

The factory harness comes out of the firewall in the top left hand side int he same area as most of the dash wiring. It is a short bundle of wires with a WHITE plug on the end and should have a tag on it that says something along the lines of 'trailer brake'

If you do not have it, you will have to go to the dealer and buy the pigtail harness that plugs into this, which is what you wire up to your brake controller.

Once that is out of the way, failing that the factory plug is still at the back of the truck, the factory trailer harness runs along the inside of the drivers side frame rail, you can trace it down from there.
