what do i need for a 5" exhaust
my friend is gettin an 8" stack and he is useing part of his 5" regular exhaust to go into the stack and i want to get the part that he isnt useing from under the cab back to a 6" tip, my question is what pieces do i need to splice into his 5" pipe cause idk what all they use when they put a stack on with part of the exhaust thats already there, oh and his truck is a 99 extended cab short bed 24v and mines a 94 reg cab long bed 12v so would his 5" exhaust even fit my truck? the exhuast is only 2months old and is made by "pypes" not sure y he wants a stack already. ![]() and he said there is some kinda kit i can get for it that is like $20 that i can splice into his 5" pipe from my down pipe i think he said

If your down pipe is stock you need a 3" or 3.5" to 5" adapter. Napa or most exhaust shops could sell you one. On second thought you might need to go 3 to 4 than 4 to 5 to get it to work.

If its cut off under the truck you will have to get enough adapters like a 3.5 to 6 if they make it if not do what Bluedually4x4 said and have to buy a few and put them together.

Bully Dog makes a exhaust pipe adaptor for 3 1/2 in. x 5 in Buy a 5 in. to 6 in. tip for the end
