1995 Ram Not Charging

Hello Everyone,
Well I've been very busy changing out brakes and fluids and just when I though I was near the finish line the charging system is not working. The batteries are good. When running the voltage across the batteries is only 12.5. As soon as I turn on the lights the voltage goes to 11. I've replaced the alternator, and checked all the fuses.

I'm thinking the pcm is dead. Anyway other than replace to verify root cause?

The PCM uses a tach signal (from the ESS on the dampner) to 'tell' it that the engine is running. Without this signal the PCM will not function.

Is the tach working properly?

Computer Replaced

Installed my new computer last night and I'm back in business. Autozoo sells the computer for $233 with a core charge. Not too bad.

A couple more items to fix and off to inspection. Yeah!
