Finally found Fob "how to"

some questions have been going around a lot lately about how to program the 94-97 keyless entree remote on our trucks.

First, locate the computer port, (under steering wheel , then ground the number 1 pin (sounds hard but easy to do). The number 1 pin is the pin in the top most left of the plug.

Second, turn the key to on, (doors should then lock and unlock, letting you know its grounded correctly.

Third, push any button on the fob.

Fourth, turn off key, and try her out!!!

I seriously did this in about 2 min my very first time ever.
Hope this helps some fobless people out there.

Sounds too good to be true. Would it work with any fob or only universal or chrysler's one? Gonna try this right now with some fobs I have.

Genestealer, are you sure your truck came with keyless from the factory? You can take your vin into dodge dealer and have them check, or pull out stereo and the little controller box is located back there, it reads keyless entree right on it. and yeah, it is that simple!!! When I ordered mine, they asked for the part number or the fcc number. I had to get tricky when asking dodge about this number, They wouldnt give me any info. then I said I was wondering how much a new fob cost, and they looked it up, and then I asked real sly like, whats the p/n on it lol. two different ones would work on my truck. Not sure about yours. Hope it helps

I don't know, but I didn't notice any controller box behind the stereo last time I pulled it out, so I guess it didn't have keyless entry from the factory.
