complete 2nd gen high perf turbo/intake/ex manifold set up

going to twins so all of this can go:

aem brute force stg 3 cold air intake, barely used, like new. i pitched the std hose clamps and bought 3 of the real clamps (the ones with a stud and a nut). the piping has been powder coated dark grey and the system also includes a new filter minder

(thats the same filter set up on my stock motor)

better clamps

ats 3 pc manifold, originally ported by joe donnelly (yes, this is one of the first ats manifolds ever sold. i believe they have a high nickel content compared to the newer manifolds (the ones that are all cracking) and are therefore more desirable). joe disassembled it and ported it all the way thru while it was apart. i have since done a lot of porting to the collector and flange area. matched with one of my ported ex housings this thing really reduces egts. it reduces them so much it even reduces coolant temps. drive pressure and spool both decrease and max boost increases. really hate to get rid of this manifold but its perfectly matched to the turbine housing and if i were to flip it for twins it would not line up anymore.

this was after joes porting and a some more of my own it still was not matched

ported it some more

thats what it looks like now, with the gasket installed, the turbo is the same size

64/71/14 charger with 5600 miles on it. (almost 13 months old) as mentioned ex housing is max ported and matched to the manifold (req htt new large stainless gasket) (two included). polished comp housing, polished waste gate bracket, polished turbine straps, all stainless steel hardware to attach the above, chrome compressor straps and ss hardware there too. it was seeping a little from the front seal (thats why i took it apart, did the bling while it was apart, can get a new seal from ED for next to nuthin). no frnt to rr play, min side to side, great charger for around 500 hp, a little laggy for a manual trans truck, perfect for a auto or a manual that tows above 1800 rpm. oh yea, it also has the extra thick gate cover from industial injection, the one that allows extra gate travel, which i also had chromed and it also has a htt boost fooler (i didnt polish or chrome that) (lol)

the 64 is in the center

thats the 64 cover with a 62 wheel inside of it (for comparison)

4" htt down pipe - modified so it will fit either the 1st or 2nd gen trucks. i did it right, with 4" mandrel bends, nicely tig welded and painted to match (stupid dp ended up costing me about 4 bills when it was said n done)

started out with that

started cutting it up

thats it tacked together...cant find a pic of it welded and painted but it is

*this system made 50 psi on my '97 12v with nothing more than 140 hp injectors and a tuned afc (after all the porting). great system for someone that is ready to bomb. can part out but dont want to seperate the turbo from the manifold at this time

i have a lot of money in all of this and a even more ridiculous amount of time

make offer

thanks, don

its barely been used...

hows 200 bucks sound?

actually, there is a member on here, PeeWee, and he already offered me that for it

but that has to have been over a week ago and i have not received anything saying he has mailed a check and nuthin has come to pay pal from him

i thought it would be a good complete set up for a guy with a stocker that wanted to bomb it

unfortunately i have a lot of time and money in most of it, not the intake, only thing custom about that is the clamps

lemme know

ps - there has been a slight hold up with the header, and that is holding up the twin build, so i wont be able to ship this right away

pps - i have a couple of non members interested in the turbo/manifold combo so if you are thinkin about it ya better hurry up and shoot an offer

pppppppppps - anyone that has not ported their manifold and ex housing is missin out on a huge performance improvement. everything runs cooler, spools quicker, makes more boost (esp at high rpm). highly recommended you port yours... : )

i did not reassemble it after getting the parts back from the plater

was thinking about sending it to ED and let them put the seal in it

but i can have it together in 30 mins if you are interested

*ps - the seal barely seeps, it isnt blowing a bunch of oil into the cold pipe or anything

the turbo only has 5600 miles on it tho and it shouldnt be like that

i always fill the turbo with oil and leave the line cracked to get all the air out

dont know why the seal isnt happy

some said excessive back pressure but i know thats not the case

pps - i did not take the cartridge apart

good lookin' setup, Don!!!!

having spent a fair amount of time behind a grinder porting high nickel iron, I can imagine how many hours are in that stuff!

How much would you want for the manifold if you seperate it from the turbo?

as much as i can fregin get for it

lol

dont think it would work very well mated with a stock unported housing

there would be a pretty good size lip

you can put the turbo on a stock manifold but i would not recommend doin it vise versa
