2000 Dodge 3500 intermediate Dead Pedal

Well ive been reading all I can find here after replacing the lift pump on this 3500 and I still have a dead pedal now n then. When you are driving and you get the dead pedal if you push the clutch in it is gone, or if you just wait it gets its power back. So tommarow me my dad are gonna run the lift pump to the key so it always has power and see what happens. I just got the truck from my boss and his son was driving it and took VERY poor care of it. Also it has had an injection pump replaced once a long time ago. It had one code in it I think it was 19 somthing but ill have to post that later... it was not the dreaded 216 code thank god. Perhaps if anyone has some sensor advice as I have read this solved the problem for some folks maybe we could talk about that some more perhaps by phone or whatever I just dont know much about the sensors or reprogramming of the sensors. thankyou for your help.
