Hard time shifting from 1st to 2nd HELP!! 1999 3500

Start off fine, can take it about 3000rpm to shift by itself hard. I can let off the excellerator and it will shift fine before I take it to 3000rpms. Then it runs like a dream. 1999 3500

Thanks

the 99's always had a shifting problem like that i believe they make a plate that replaces the one under the valve body, or you can get a new valve body all together

Thanks, it hasn't thrown any codes and one little small town shop said it might be trashed.

Can't figure it out it runs like a dream once it gets into 2nd and beyond. It does fine downshifting with no problems.

always try quicklearn procedure before doing anything. This resets stock shift points and pressures and may fix the problem.
