Exclamation 16 psi- 0 ???????

after tranny rebuild truck has no power at higher rpms. fuel filter change and sent my edge box back and it still does it. low speed and not alot of pedal its fine but when you hit it or the boost gets up to 16 - 18 psi it drops to 1 psi and smokes and runs like crap. I have been running the box on 5x5 so that i do not have to use alot of pedal to get going. I am very confused.

If it goes from 16 psi to 0 I would say you have a leak somewhere. Check all your intercooler boots, squeeze them and look for cracks.

Does the 2000 have a waste gate on the turbo?

Waste gate is probably a real long shot, but might be worth a look if you don't find cracked aftercooler core, hoses, etc...

Not being familiar with 2000 model; Make sure nothing on the intake side is internally collapsing (Hoses, filter itself, someone didn't leave a rag in the air box)

never believe it but the air filter was so clogged it would make boost and then choke the motor out...i found out by accident. aftermarket filter with no filter minder = clogged filter and you dont know about. once i cleaned it the truck whistles and screams like it used to.

no kidding it had been like this for about 3 weeks , i was glad i decided to clean the filter. the funny thing is that i did not realize it was fixed until the next dday when i drove to work i noticed intsantly that the turbo was whisling real loud like it used to, so i let the truck warm up and started gettin in her and it was fine. making 35 psi again
