Blow by & oil spots on rear axle

I went on a 2 hr road trip and after i got there i had a drip about the size of a silver dollar under the blowby tube and the rear axle, fuel tank and drive shaft had spots of oil on it. Is it normal to have that? Im a bit scarred that its not. I did about 70mph the whole time.

no it's not normal....is there any drip from the driver's side front of the engine when it's hot and sit'n idle? from either the crankcase vent or the vaccum pump/power steer'n area?

i replaced the vacuum pump seal last winter. Front case has a little drip but, i mean its not a lot of oil...just a drop here and there and if im just bumming around here and the farm its fine or a 30 mile trip its usually fine a spot every now and again. There is some white blow by but not enough to concern me. Just wondering about the oil though. Stopped at cummins and he said its fairly normal and that if it uses more than a gallon every 6k then its a problem. It dont use much oil at all. Usually stays around the full mark.

I got a replacement short block on the '97 at 46k, and I don't know what they did with that thing before it went in, but nearly every inspection port seal leaked from day one. They replaced several, but I gave up after 4 trips and let it leak the cup or so every 10k miles. Keep an eye on the transfer case tailcone seal to the rear shaft also.
My dad bought it new, and when I got it from him, at 24k, dodge replaced all but one axle seal and the rear driveline seal.
In short, dodge has always been a little on the low end regarding seals, creature comforts and front end durability.... but that cost savings has to be somewhere...
btw, is a 2-hour road trip unusual for you? if so, you probably just worked some buildup loose that your normal driving habits don't quite get.
