truck wont start

my buddy has a 04 2500 that wont start. it cranks and cranks but wont even studder. it has a p0243 code that i cant find in alldata. does anyone know what could be wrong and what the code means.

that code is for turbo charge solenoid circuit malfunction, and has he cycled the key and left the lift pump cycle, his lift pump may have died on him, they are prone to do that on the 03-ealry o4 models cause they are mounted on the back of the fuel filter canister, so it has to pull instead of push, lots of strain...

crank the truck over while tapping on the fuel pump. if it starts or tries to start, you have a bad lift pump. just my .02

he has a airdog on it. but i dont think he droped the tank to put in a draw straw. ill have to check with him on it and see if i can get it to the shop to drop the tank. thanks for your help guys i apriciate it and soo will he.
