Help?????????????!!!!!!!!!

pulled in to school today after bout an hour and a half drive i fueled about half way here when i pulled in i noticed the truck sounded a lil different almost like a miss it was slightly louder with an out of whach tone i checked for codes with the smarty nothing out of the ordinary so i know its not the vp what do you guys think i narrowed it down to either being an injector or bad fuel im going to try diesel Kleen and if that doesent work i dont know where to turn to???? : CRY:

is it a bad bad knock or just something doesnt sound right about it? i had an injector stick open on me not too long ago and i swore i sent a piston through the block...you will know if it is a bad injector. i would narrow it down to bad fuel or something else.....

With it running crack the lines loose one by one. If the idle goes from bad to worse then your good. If you get a line that has no effect on the idle start digging in that area.

what he said..... i had the same thing happen to mine and one of the injector line nuts had back off a scoche letting air in... it may not be it but hey its a start

so i tried cracking the injectors it didnt help then i tried diesel klenn still not rite i have no idea what could be wrong help???

I've had a couple pretty bad tanks of fuel in the '97 that made it sound like something had come loose in the motor or something. I usually had to replace the fuel filter after one of those. Got even worse when ULSD came out. The additives that have a cleaner or water remover may help a bit, but the best thing I found was finding LSD or adding a cetane booster additive that did not have any other extras. They have some stuff at Wal-Mart that comes with the injector cleaner or without, and the stuff without makes the ULSD run smoother that a baby's butkus. The local CENEX adds something like that, so I try to get my fuel there. The '08 was designed for the ULSD, so it does not vary as much, but I can tell the difference when some cheap fuel that has a lower cetane content gets in the tank.
