Just a thanks to all who responded
After $1600 in parts, VP44 and FASS fuel system and a hard time sitting now!!! I am back up and running. My truck runs like a new rig and the kids are happy to camp again. All my problems were created when my lift pump originally went. After replacing that and having 10 psi of fule displayed on EDGE I thought all was good. UNTIL THE DEAD PEDAL... You guys were right on, the damage was already done so when the VP got hot it could not keep up with highway speeds. Its all good now and I am still icing by AS#H$LE after the labor fees. I hope this is a good learning experience for everyone and the forum is great since my local dealerships are not. Thanks all for the few words of advice.
