Urgent Help!

Installing air dog, and was trying to grinding excess piece of frame out of the way and nicked a line. Looks like it leads to the rear axle, and it leaking fluid.

there are 3 lines that run along the frame and it was the bottom 1.

How do i stop the leak, fix the nick and reapply the fluids.

what is it for sure?

It looks like a brake fluid line.Check your brake reservior level and see if it's dropping.Brake fluid also has a distinct odor to it.If it is brake fluid use a tubing cutter and cut it.Get 2 fittings and a union and double flare the lines and attach to the union.Bleed out the brakes and you should be ok.Good luck!!

Why were you grinding.... Air Dogs are the perfect fit from what I read.....

If it's a line passing the tank it's gotta be return fuel or Brake line..... your gonna have to figure that out cuase I don't have a 3rd gen handy to look at

it's a brake line....as the tank is about empty as well and it runs right to the brakes. THere is a bracket of metal on the trucks that the factory puts on the assemble the trucks. However, I think they may have sent me the wrong bracket anyway. Possibly from the 5.9 if there is a difference, bc it's a hella hard fit. So, how do i fix this now....exceeds way beyond my automotive knowledge.

You are gonna need some special tools(tubing cutter, double flare set) and some knowledge to fix it.If its beyond you take it to a shop or have someone come to you to repair it.Its your brakes so it needs to be fixed right for safety.I am a Master Technician in Harrisburg,PA and that will be the fastest, cheapest, correct repair for your problem.Good Luck!

Air DOg is an air and fuel seperation system. Same as FASS if your familiar. It isn't a tough install, as i mentioned I think i got an incorrect mounting bracket. I just have no clue if the vehicle is drivable like it is right now or what?

A compression fitting is OK for an emergency TEMPORARY repair but IS NOT a correct method to repair a brake hydraulic system!! Do it right the first time and then you can forget about it!!

DO NOT DRIVE!!! Everytime you hit the brakes you will lose fluid in the mastercylinder and your pedal will go to the floor!Fix it where it is at or have it towed to a repair facility!
