P1740?
Had this code pop up today and found it with my Smarty. It said "TCC O/D SOL PREFORMANCE". Any help or suggestions? Just got a converter and valvebody put in on Thrusday. New filter and synthic fluids to boot. Is it ok to drive until fixed. Buddie told me that my tranny wasnt going into O/D like it should. Due to solinoid failure maybe. Does that sound right to anybody? Ive got a TS Shift Master coming and will be put in on Friday. I am getting a lot of gear hunting in 2nd but everything else is just fine. Help me out guys. May be beer involved. ![]()

Well i did talk to Wally and he told me that it, more than likely, is due to my lock up being so easy. The ECM is not seeing the 500 to 700 rpm drop instead it is only getting a 200 to 400 drop in rpm's. Therefore it thinks its not in lock up. Makes sense to me i just hope i dont see it all the time thats all.

All you can do is check them after driving, if there are other codes you need to document them and give me a call. W
