is there a difference????
im swapping my trans in my 99 24v and i have a trans from a 98 24v. now i was told they were the same but i just want to make sure. my trans casing on my 99 reads 238-2 where as on my 98 casing it reads 238-4. are they the same? do those numbers mean anything and are the TC's the same as well? also does anyone know how many times the TC should drop in before it is set. is it 2 or 3? thanks in advance -bogan

The transmissions are all the same from 98.5-02. I don't know if anything changed on the 03 47re or not. Those two you have are the same.

cool thanks guys. now about the TC for some reason it only feels like its dropping in once so i didnt put it back in yet. once the TC is in, should there be any wobble in it or should it be real tight. and do i want to go counter clockwise with it ot clockwise. and how many times should it drop down?
