Hey guys, need some help. Truck is stuck in 4 wheel high and have a 1000 mile trip coming up in a few days. The service 4 wheel drive light in currently on. It won't shift in to 4 wheel low, the 4 wheel dr light just stays on. There is loud clicking when I turn and the wheels hop. The front shaft is locked up tight so I know it is stuck in 4 wheel dr. I have unplugged the harness from the actuator/solenoid on the T-case and cleaned it and nothing. I have had problems with it engaging into 4 wheel and all the dealership did was clear the canbus. Any ideas how to get this out of 4 wheel dr?

iirc its not a slip yoke, its a flange right? it has been awhile I maybe wrong. Do these still have the cad systems like my 2nd gen?
Just checked it out, it's a flange. All I know is I have never liked the "Electronic shift on the fly" t-case for this exact reason. I preffer the manual.

Have you tried changing it while it is rolling at about 5 MPH? Mine will lock up in 4 Hi some times and the only way I can get it out is when I am rolling. When you get stuck in 4 Lo its a different story, But I have dealt with both with this stupid E-switch transfer case

Yup, tried all that. I get no movement at all. It feels like there is no communication with the actuator.

Nope no lights other than the "Serv 4 wheel dr" light which turned off. It came out of 4wd on its own after driving about a 100 mi. It's in the shop now, I doubt they will be able to do anything about now since it went back to normal.

I wouldn't drive it on pavement with it locked in 4x4. Everything binds up. better to jack up from and back and start spinnig the wheels to see if you can free it up. Just my 2 cents
