No forward gears.HELP!!!!

So I just spent the day installing my freshly rebuilt transmission all to find out when i was done and filled it up with fluid and started the truck that it has reverse and no forward gears. It wont mive forward in D, 1, or 2 but reverse works fine. My front clutch burnt up originally thats why i rebuilt the whole thing with dtt parts and put in dtt valve body and tripple disk t/c. I used 3 cans of trans flush before i installed the trans too. Any thoughts on what it could be or what to look for cause im lost. I think tomorrow i might drop the pan and put the original valve body back in and hope it fixes the problem but with the luck ive been having im guessing that wont fix it. I just dont wanna pull this thing apart or even out of the truck again. Thanks in advance.

If forward clutch packs were gone then i wouldnt have reverse and third. And none of the clutch packs should be gone cause their all brand new. the truck hasnt even moved since the rebuild. I rebuilt the trans with all new clutches, put rebuilt trans in truck, started truck, and now no forward gears.

So today i put the old valve body back in to see if that was the problem only to find out that it was not. I still just have reverse. But i did lift the rear tires off the ground to see if they spun in drive and they did. So i do have drive but it just does not go anywhere when the weight of the truck is on the ground. What the hell could this be. And ive been tryin to call dtt all morning and cant get ahold of their tech. Please help

Well I did find my problem but since yours is stock I doubt that it is the same problem. My problem was that I put a billet input shaft in my new transmission and there is 2 teflon seals and 1 metal seal on an input shaft and i forgot to put the metal seal on the new billet input when i put my trans back together and that was what caused my problem. So I doubt its the same with yours. But what is your symptoms, maybe we can help you?

It is pretty straight forward I guess. I can go forward at Idle, bout 10mph, but i cannot give it any throttle, it just revs up. It also goes in reverse fine. There was a slight squeel from the transmission when you first put it in gear, and the a little more of a squeel when you give it some throttle. I assumed torque converter, but have been hearing that it may not be my problem. what do you think?

Holy crap! I just went through the same mess. Pulled it five times and finally on the sixth time, I took it to a shop. They charged me a meager 60 bucks to tear it down and tell me that. I put in the new shaft, put on the teflon seals, and totally missed the metal big one. But mine would still drive. It would even do a burnout, and I also made 831lbs torque with it like that!
