'04 Stuck in Limp Mode - P2509 Code - HELP!!!

Hey guys, so my truck went into limp mode on the way to work this morning. It wouldn't downshift past 3rd but it will upshift normally to OD and TC lockup engages. I pulled a P2509 which I've reasearched to be bad batteries or bad connection. Well, my batteries were definitely toast so I replaced them just now but it still pops the 2509 code. Is there some way I can erase this code? What else could this be? Bad ECM? I sure hope not. Thanks for your time. Also, is it ok to drive it in limp mode with no load and taking it really easy? Immediate help is much appreciated!

Get somewhere that can clear the code for you and see if it comes back.

As for driving it in limp mode, I wouldn't say its the best thing, but you should be ok for a little bit. You have no gear reduction at all, you are stuck in 1:1. Your transmission temp in town will be high . . . . . . . . .
