Help with Loosing Overdrive.

Guys My 1993 dodge has been a great truck but I have had to play with several things since I got it. I kept loosing fluid and finally got me a new b&m aluminum pan and still losing fluid. I finally figured it out as the O rings that was on the dipstick tube. I have not lost overdrive in over 2 months until today. What is the first things I need to check since the tranny is fairly new and full of fluid as checked in neutral. Thanks for the help in advance, Greg.

had same problem with my 92 w 350. tried distance sensor, anti lock brake sensor, crank sensor, had trans rebuilt, still dropped out of overdrive, finally read service manual and studied wire diagrams, found wire harness on drivers side of engine stretched around steel fuel line rubbed through, (if you follow crank sensor harness from front to back you'll find it) I pulled wires off and repaired and overdrive has worked flawless since.

thanks for the info guys. The truck seems to never loose od in the mornings, just in the evenings?? All the visible wires under the truck around the tranny seem to be in good shape. I have a extra tps from a parts truck in case that ends up being the problem. I need to get this figured out before june as I am going on a 300 mile trip and 2200rpm at 55 gets old. The newer common rail cummins sound better at the higher rpm. The old cummins seem to like 1400-1800 rpm the best.
