hey-Hey!!!,
I followed the links in those posts and found enough to write this... They're a this cylinder of steel used to repair a groove worn in the sealing surface( like our full-floating rear axle hub). They're to be driven into place part way, have the driving collar removed and with( as suggested on one ov those posts)driven the rest of the way down with the end-grain of a bit of wood. They do expand the sealing surface diameter by their thickness but it seems that the original seals tolerate this well; there is no mention of needing a special seal to accomodate this sort of work.
cheers,
Douglas

The speed sleeves come with a drive tool. The problem is they are a closed end cup. For a rear axle you need to open the drive cup where the axle spindle will go threw.

I have a set of electrical knockouts punches. They work well to open the drive cups.
