Den - Dodge CTD 1st Gen - VE Governor Spring Install
2 things.. have metric ball allen wrenches and know exactly where the throttle linkage is supposed to be when you take it off of the throttle shaft in the pump. thats about all youll need to know to get the job done, its all i had and it went real smooth.

I'd further those suggestions and say read read read. Read at least 3 detailed explanations of how to do the job before you do it. You don't need to remove the throttle linkage, you don't need to mess with the index... Just fyi.

i never even thought about trying to do it with the linkage on, ive just taken the linage off so many times that i just pop it off. id also like to know what method you would use to keep the linkage on.

IMO i dont think there is a way to do it because the linkage is right on top of the bolt.
