Couple Questions

Ok so i re-adjusted my throttle linkage today and i gained 15psi boost. So im now at 35psi on the new turbo and am very happy. Now ive been running without my wastegate hooked up and now since im getting up close to the 50psi mark i want to get that hooked up so i can controll it till i get head studs cause i got alot more to turn on the fuel screw. My question is can i just tap a hole into the pipe running from the turbo to the intercooler and just hook it up or do i need to run a one way valve in it like a gas job?

Next question is i was an idiot and listened to somebody and pulled the fuel pin out and ran without it and my IP has been leaking ever since cause i blew the seal out. I talked to the local diesel shop around here and they said it would be ok but it would leak like hell which it is. If i order a hole rebuild kit for a VE would that seal come with it or not? Anybody know? Thanks.

And now since im only maxing out at 800* i guess im just gonna get a set of injectors and a govener spring and fuel pin (cause i cant even find mine lol) and just play with the VE for now untill i can get a p-pump. Thanks for any help you guys.

Where is your pryo installed at. If your making 35 PSI on a HX40. I can tell you right now that pryo is lieing to you.

That o-ring for the fuel pin is in the rebuild kit. It is the only small green o-ring.

Look on the turbo. By the label is a small round raised arear. Drill and tap that for your waste gate.

Thanks Philip. My pyro is tapped for the back 3 cylinders on the manifold. it might not be right idk. i need to rewire it cause im drawing to much power from the source i have it hooked up to now so sometimes it works and sometimes it doesnt. maybe thats why its not right. ill have to rewire it and c if that helps. maybe thats why it seems so laggy too cause it doesnt read instantly like my glowshift does in my 01.

I know what spot ur talking about on the turbo so i can just tap that and run the line and not need a one way valve?

Ill just order the rebuild kit then that way if i need anything else i got it and do a govenor spring at the same time.

Thanks again.

No, you shouldn't need a one way valve. I don't remember if the fitting on my turbo had a metered orifice on it or not. I know the one I have now that came from PDR has a metered orifice with a metered bleed that I can adjust with a set screw. You can adjust boost that way.
