that's good, I was going to get the Fleetguard numbers cross referenced at NAPA, as they are the only auto parts store in town.

My problem seems to have fixed itself though...

I spoke too soon, barely made it into town today, weird this time it started and idled fine, but was sputtering down the high way and then just about stalling at the lights in town. Usually it starts rough with the air and then gets better.

Air pressure the fuel tank. Throw a couple of PSI in. Then look for drips.

Our fuel system can pull air and not leak fluid.

I changed out the filter, no difference, (doesnt leak though) barly runs at idle but still goes on the highway, I am getting a new lift pump today, as mine has been leaking since I bought it, hope that works.

Lift pump makes sense... our rotary injector pumps are somewhat self priming, pumping but only to a degree. We can 'limp home' without hurting anything major. It is also possible for there to be enough junk in the tank that a couple of filters will plug fairly quickly and then settle down to normal. A change in drivers and driving styles can bring out all kinds of peculiar behaviors in these old babies. As time goes on the life of my fuel filters has stretched. I bought one last year because I had not changed mine in years. It is still sitting on the work bench.
