I think they are quite smokey. I don't see why you couldn't run them and leave the pump alone? Infact I think it would be suggested if you want to conserve the life of the pump. I have read they are good for 52hp? I read that somewhere, I've also read they are a 40hp injector so idk... it's in that range anyways. From what I've heard/read they are an ok injector but there are a lot better injectors out there if you wanna spend more money. They are cheap compared to others. If I get injectors I'll probably save for the DDP stage III or stage IV. I've heard the DDP are a decent injector but cost a couple hundred more I think.

I put PODS on my truck and it was not smoking but had alot more power, then i turned up the fuel and it got alot more power and smoked alot more. any way you look at it. What is smoke. Unburned fuel. So if you put more fuel= more smoke.

True --

But isn't the object to get the maximum amount of fuel without the maximum amount of smoke ??

If you go wtih PODs, or anything else (like some Bully Dog 80s, maybe ), I would highly suggest at the very least a fuel pressure gauge, even better to get a piston lift pump.

It seems I got one of the last cheap CaseIH piston pumps.

VERY true. but the trick is to keep EGT's low. i have found more fuel even with boost still gets hi egt. and the good way to get smoke is to do it such that you can still use the truck. So PODS are perfect for making smoke. not sure about power tho. I feel that there are better injectors for cleaner power. or more afficent power
