I might be able the talk my way into a rebuilt p-pump outta my school and was wondering what all would be involved in switching my truck over from the VE pump over to the P pump?

You need the front gears and timing cover. I believe you will also need the throttle linkage injectors, injector lines, fuel feed lines. And some other things but cant come up with the rest some other guys can way in on it!! But that will get you started.

Bare minimum, injectors, pump gear, injection lines, and you can rig up the rest like fuel supply and linkage.

Edit: add Timing Case and cover

Your injectors have a different body than the 2nd gens. The injector lines won't fit. You could use the nozzles out of the POD's in a 2nd gen injector body.
