I got my POD's from PDR and they are supposed to be top of the line and matched to one anothyer @ 260 bar. At that pressure you MUST modify the pump to use them properly or you might just as well stay home.

You have to use the thin seal washer
Bump up the pump timing
increase the case pressure
increase the pump flow (200-220 cc's/stroke or more)

Probably other things I don't recall off-hand @ this time.............

If the injectors are not matched to one another, one piston has more fuel than another and so on. The factory standard is like 7 bar apart and to have a shop set them alike will narrow that to about 3 bar or less.

Glad you discovered coaltrain performance huh. My truck is slowly aquiring parts from them. So far a tranny, airdog 150, and injector pump. Soon some sticks but most important a turbo.

Please enlighten us on pump modification to increase case pressure. Are you referring to ksb in the advanced position? Full fuel screw? Cam Plate? How many pistons are in our pumps?

Didnt ask for a certain power rating had a set of POD's that jsut werent doing it so asked Richard to get me a set better than those. The POD's for me hazed real bad all the time and never really seemed to give me alot of extra power. As far as the price cant tell you the price all I can say is call Richard he will get you one of the best deals on injectors I have seen.

Not to argue but why would you want to have to modify your pump just to run an injector I would rather just get an injector that works woth my pump!!?

The pump is calibrated to push x amount of fuel (like 73cc/stroke) through the OEM injector. If you install a new OEM injector, leave the pump alone. If you desire to further HP output, then install an injector that will flow more fuel. However, that would be moot unless you recalibrate the pump's fuel out-put and timing to match the flow and pop-off settings of the performance injector.

Then keep the OEM injector.

Our pump has one piston. To increase the case pressure you have to adjust the internal (case pressure) valve. To increase the pump output, you would adjust the fuel screw among many other available adjustments or modifications.

Don't do anything with the cam plate. You may opt to modify the profile of the fuel controol cone etc.

OK green leaf sorry I argued with you didnt mean to get your panty's in a twist. I started this thread to talk about how well the Coaltrain injectors performed in my truck as opposed to the POD's. If you are a POD fan then man more power to you but if you dont like mine then start a new thread dont come in here and run your head about how I should have modified my pump to get the injectors to work. How dare you tell me to run a stock injector I didnt like the POD's I had cause they were crap!!!!!!! And hazed all the time and didnt run as well as my coaltrain injectors so go and modify your pump to run your injectors and dont worry about mine!!!!!!!!!!!

so you wouldn't have to turn the pump up to run the coaltrain injectors??? but your pump is turned up some though, right nkendall??? I like the results of my pump turnup and i was wonderin if those injectors will give me a lot more cuz i've heard that turnin your pump up will only do so much, and then you got to get injectors and it will help out a lot more!!! these coaltrain injectors sound pretty sweet!!! yeah i haven't heard anything good about pods, so i don't think i'll ever be gettin some of those...

My pump is turned up. I dont know what you would alot cause there are some guys on here who have done alot more to there pump than I have. My pump is turned up to the specs on my signature. I think the coaltrain injectors are way above the POD's in performance and drivability. I didnt mean to get the discussion headed this direction but thought that greenleaf was out of line in his posts. As far as I am concerned the coaltrain injectors are thebest injectors for the price!! Also Richard if you are reading this I will be expecting my check soon for all the cheerleadind I have been doing<<<<<LMAO

I run a Coaltrain Transmission for awhile and when I got the monster pump they Made me some of the big injectors that are required for it for an amazing price. Anything I can get from Coaltrain I'll get my hands on.

If anyone has Any Question to how my injectors or transmission from Coaltrain is Feel free to pm me.
