Hey guys just purchased a 93 w350 ext dually. 160k original miles charcoal grey and in great shape. I'm excited about this truck as for it'll be my DD. I have some good intentions for this truck but not going to crazy on horsepower. Just a fuel pin gov spring tune the pump and maybe change the turbo housing. I already have a 4in turbo back exhaust and a home made 4in intake. Going to throw some 2 in leveling springs and some gauges on the truck. If there's any other easy power ups for the truck I missed please inform me. And also if there's any information on sites or best places to pick up things for the truck definitely please inform. Look forward to hearing from everyone.
Welcome to the club. As they say, "Enter Here and Abandon all Hope".
My suggestions, GAUGES!!!!!, an M&H M2 fuel pin, and a 60mm turbo compressor wheel upgrade. Leave the exhaust housing alone. Don't get wild with the fuel screw. With that, you will have a good towing platform. No high EGTs to worry about.
PS, welcome to the club!

Thanks for the reply, and I'm definitely getting gauges, but I was going to get the M3 or maybe the M4, you say the M2 cause of egt reasons? Or cause I'd need other mods along with it? And I won't mess with the fuel screw or anything at all. And yes it's all already gone out the window I'm starting to be mod hungry not good haha
Before you spend money on making more power why don't you do the free mods so you can spend your money on other things you might need. You can always get your pin or housing later if you feel you need more power.
The job of the AFC is to regulate fuel availability based on boost. The fuel pin is the main" scheduler" for fuel delivery. Different profiles set different schedules. The smoke screw acts as a starting point and the star wheel sets how much the fuel pin moves for a certain level of boost. The fuel screw sets the governors fuel delivery limit. Towing and street roding are 2 different worlds and the parts and tuning are different. You need to decide which way you want to go.

Read the attached thread before you start buying a tach. Will save you big money if you have that little plug (as you should since its a 93). You can use any tach you want. I'm using a el-cheapo Sunpro and it works just fine for a 20 year old truck.
These trucks are like banks. Always putting money in them, and just can't stop!

I had to play with the settings. Think i put it on 8 cylinder setting and its works just fine. Of course I've been driving standard trucks since I was 13 so a tach is not one of the gauges that are necessary like a pyrometer is. I'm using a Sunpro pyrometer as well. The one thing I don't like about it is how it attached to the manifold.

I'm not going to get in a pis**ng match on this guy's thread, but for a tach its accurate enough (+/- 100 rpm). Anyone that NEEDS a tach that isn't racing or sled pulling shouldn't be driving a standard anyway.
