The common swap is to a Ford 7.3 IC. The other swap is the 2nd gen IC's.
There is one aftermarket bolt in made for our year trucks. It is provided by New Era diesel. It is expensive.

It is wider. and the inlet and outlet is bigger. 99 ford P/S 7.3 is easier imo

Does anyone know what all it takes to add an intercooler to a 91 non intercooled first gen? Will I have to move my radiator and change/modify my fan or any AC or coolant lines? Im just wondering how much work and money is involved in adding an intercooler and if it is worth the trouble.

A couple guys on DTR have Hellman intercoolers, but they are like $1000 iirc. PDR (Piers diesel) used to sell an intercooler as well. I'm not sure of it's specs now, or if they still list it. Check their website.

Has anyone been able to fit a 3rd gen intercooler into our trucks yet? This guy has his whole intercooler, pipes, boots and clamps, and intake horn on craigslist for 215$ and was wondering if that could work?
