Holy smokes

I put a Hx35/40 hybrid on this summer and today i finally got a boost gauge installed. Well I about crapped myself when it read 50 pounds of boost, most was 55 pounds. The only mods are listed in my sig. I guess i should put some head studs in next.

I'd be careful running it up that high. Things tend to come apart after 40 psi.

Don't run it that high. The turbo isn't designed for it.

Do you have an inner cooler? How did you load the engine enough with the factory torque convertor to build that kind of boost? What for exhaust housing is there?

I'd get that wastegate hooked up as soon as possible. Running that much boost on a stock gasket and head isn't smart.

old school. you may be very lucky not to have blown parts all to heck. to get that kind of boost takes a lot of fuel and that mean piston melting heat. you better park that thing until you get gauges and consinder yourself damn lucky you still have a truck. i wouldn't be suprised if your egt's were around 1800.
