Work turd for now. I made the intake Friday night. Maybe a 4" tbe and might clock the pump for more timing. Other than that not sure time will tell. It's a 1993 with 150,000 miles. Bought it from the original owner. He's 84 years old. Real nice man!
Lol... Gotta start somewhere. I like to keep miles off my 08. Being a bricklayer and traveling all over the state tends to put some miles on.
My 08
She a family tow rig.
When a little crazy with the paint can(boost tubes & valve cover).
Order a fuel pin but got the runaround. No worries, so I decided to wait. End up turning my stock pin 90*. Worked well. Good haze till boost comes on. Just what I wanted, I don't want my truck smokey. Changed the bolts on the AFC and new washer on the boost line.
Later I'm going with THD pin. Seem like it will work well with my setup.
Would you mind taking a shot of the inside of that horn? The 2nd gen 24v horn I have really necks down between the mounting bolts. Enough that I'm thinking it's not worth it to try on mine. I might try my hand at building one after the experience I got building my compounds
look at the picture that was posted of his 24v intake horn. notice that it takes 2 really long bolts and 2 short ones. if your horn takes 4 short ones, it is the one that necks down, if it takes the 2 real long ones, it's the good 2nd gen 24v unit
Hmm maybe I have a cr horn then. I sure have been enjoying the whole fabricating thing lately. That point where things just click, and I know exactly what to do is a nice feeling. Makes me wish I could tig weld though
Eric did you fab your own or use the 2nd gen intercooler pipe? I found that it is a 60* angle, which is hard to find with long enough legs. Thinking about using a 45* instead.
