I got my truck back from the dealer last week. A total of $9,000 warranty work was done, which included a new turbo, new DPF. It's fixed, and runs great. I just hope that if another turbo goes, it happens before I turn 100k miles.
The tech took me down the road in the truck, with the diagnostics hooked up. I never realized that the engine goes through a regen cycle to keep the DPF clean.
Does anyone know if there's an aftermarket plug-in unit that would show the exhaust temps and regen process steps?
