Question Towing with 10 lug adapters or Spacers

Alright fellas(and gals), if you have read my other post, Dually Rockstars, then you know I'm looking for Wheels and Tires. More tires than anything, I'm running maypops now... But now my concern is how well and safe will I be hauling loads with spacers for wide tires? Or with adapters to run 22.5 alcoas? I pull a 36' 5er that is approx. 17K. I also haul a dozer occasionally, approx 24K. If I stay with stock wheels I'm goin to run a 34" or 35" tire, and goin to need 1.5" or bigger spacer. Thanks for any input you may have that will help me out.
