BTW, I too have heard about that 700 degree cracking by some guy on the BITOG forums, and the process and its final result appears to be the real deal, but a bit more complicated than I am willing to step into at this point. As for now, I am enjoying my own forays into using WMO as fuel, building my own high efficiency filtration system, making new connections for WMO acquisition, etc. Seems a heckuva lot less work than making biodiesel and the cost per gallon is literally next to nothing once the filtration system is constructed. Since motor oil contains over 10 thousand more BTU's per gallon than diesel fuel itself, it actually adds noticeably to the power my truck makes. It's a seat-of-the-pants difference.
How long have you owned that 64 'vette? Is it a drum braked car? I drove one of those for a while. For having drums and not discs, the brakes were surprizingly effective

Good points, for me the wmo fuel subject is a bigger issue than I wanted to let on.It could probably be settled by a few slides under a microscope, collectively as a cummins forum it is very important to get a clear answer good or bad with no ambiguity at all, because if we think it is good and it isn't then we are wrecking cummins engines, and in effect promoting something that is destuctive to other cummins engines, pickups to semis, these ideas can take off in a huge wave(think subprime, some similarities, more serious for sure, but I still can't believe that anyone would buy into that, but millions did) So are we as a forum going to be part of a wave that destroy these engines, devalues our own trucks, create a bad name for cummins engines over all, makes it harder to know if the future used truck we want to buy is close to being toast, become the laughing stock of forums for promoting the destruction of our own trucks. the vettes a rush, the drum brakes work good, don't care for the single master cyl:thumbsup
